The group’s first field of work, rooted in the 1990s, before the group was founded: computer networks, internet infrastructure and software development. Later, IT project coordination for the financial, telecommunications and public sectors, and advice on acquisitions of IT companies. Alongside this, information protection and cybersecurity – in security-sensitive assignments a precondition, not an add-on. Today also advice on the transition to post-quantum cryptography.

From brief to structure

The sequence is the same whatever the industry. The content changes; the discipline does not.

  1. Analysis and strategic foresight

    Assessment of the plan, the environment, the risks and what can realistically be delivered. Before anything is structured, it must be clear whether it makes sense – and if it does not, that is a finding worth saying out loud.

  2. Structuring

    Design of the special-purpose vehicle, the capital structure and the circle of partners. Definition of roles, responsibilities, rules of communication and a mechanism for the event of disagreement. Most later trouble comes from what was left unagreed at this stage.

  3. Delivery and management

    Leading the project, coordinating partners and institutions, and clearing obstacles as they arise, before they become problems. The group stays in a project as long as its presence is needed – and no longer.

  4. Consolidation

    Stabilising the result, transferring it into long-term administration, or a controlled exit from the structure. The exit is planned when the structure is set up, not improvised at the end.

The EMEA region

The centre of gravity is Central and Eastern Europe, with links across the wider EMEA region. Linguistic and cultural proximity to these markets is a practical advantage: negotiations run without an interpreter and without losing the nuance.

The group works through its own companies, purpose-built structures and a partner network built up over many years, in the private sphere and in public administration alike. The extent of its activity in any one country changes over time with the nature of the projects and the conditions in that market. In Slovakia, Poland, the Russian Federation and Ukraine the group has built a network of cooperating individuals; its people have been active in these countries for over twenty-five years. The group has also worked with partners from other countries in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, as well as from North America and Asia.
